Hanging & Mounting Instructions

Thank you for choosing Snapping Turtle Gallery! Every piece is crafted with collector-grade materials and handled with care. To ensure your new art looks flawless on your wall, follow the instructions below based on your chosen medium.

Framed Prints (All Mediums)

If you ordered your art with one of our premium frames, setup couldn't be simpler. Professional-grade hanging hardware is pre-installed directly onto the engineered wood composite frame. Simply measure your space, place your wall hook, and hang.

Gloss Gallery Canvas Prints

Your canvas arrives 100% ready to hang straight out of the box using the professional-grade hardware provided by our premium crafting lab.

1. Locate the Hardware: Flip your canvas over — the hanging bracket is already securely attached to the 3/4" internal wood frame.
2. Prepare the Wall: Choose your spot and insert a standard picture hanger hook or screw into the wall. Use a drywall anchor if you aren't hitting a stud.
3. Hang & Level: Rest the canvas bracket onto your wall hook and use a bubble level (or a level app on your phone) to make sure it's perfectly straight.

Note: Our canvases feature a solid 1/8" hardboard face beneath the fabric, making them exceptionally stable and resistant to warping over time.

Dye-Sublimated Metal Prints

Our metal prints use a sleek hidden mounting block system that gives your art an elegant 1/2" floating shadow effect off the wall — no visible hardware, clean and modern.

1. Locate the Mounting Block: Flip the metal panel over. You'll see a rigid hidden mounting block securely attached to the back.
2. Mount the Wall Bracket: Your order includes a matching wall bracket and drywall anchors. Level the bracket in your desired location and secure it to the wall with the provided screws.
3. Float the Print: Gently lower the metal print's hidden block onto the wall bracket. It will lock securely into place, creating a perfectly flush floating presentation.

3mm Ultra-HD Acrylic Prints

To keep your acrylic pristine and completely flush against the wall, we provide premium Command Velcro Picture Hanging Strips — no drilling required, no holes through your art.

1. Clean the Surfaces: Wipe the wall area with rubbing alcohol where the art will hang. Avoid household cleaners, which can leave a slick residue that weakens adhesion.
2. Prep the Strips: Click the Velcro strips together in pairs. Remove one side of the green liners and press them firmly onto the back of the acrylic panel, spacing them evenly near the corners.
3. Stick to the Wall: Remove the remaining liners, use a level to line up your art, and press the acrylic firmly against the wall for 30 seconds.
4. The Critical Step — Set the Adhesive: Gently grab the bottom corners of your acrylic and pull the art straight off the wall (this separates the Velcro strips). Press the strips remaining on the wall firmly for another 30 seconds. Wait 1 full hour for the adhesive to fully cure before clicking the acrylic back into place.

Why this step matters: Skipping the cure time is the #1 reason adhesive strips fail. That one hour makes the difference between art that stays put for years and art that slides.

Care & Maintenance

• Canvas & Metal: Dust gently with a clean, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh chemical sprays.
• Acrylic: To maintain that crystal-clear high-gloss wet look, wipe away fingerprints using a soft, damp microfiber cloth. Never use ammonia-based cleaners (like standard Windex) on acrylic — they will permanently cloud the surface.
