Compare STG frame styles, panel compatibility, controls, mounting, and the complete cost of an illuminated acrylic display.

A lightbox should fit the artwork you own, work with your room, and make changing the display manageable. This is STG's guide to our own frame features, rather than an independent laboratory comparison.

Start with the panel, then choose the frame

The STG 16×24 acrylic LED lightbox frame is intended for 16×24-inch translucent acrylic artwork and backlit film. Its product listing specifies support for panels from 3mm to ¼ inch thick. Check the complete panel dimensions, backing, and clearance before fitting another supplier's work. Thickness alone does not establish compatibility, and an opaque print will not become backlit simply because it fits.

Classic Snap or Slim?

The Classic Snap style opens at the front; the Slim style has a lower-profile presentation and a different loading method. Think about how often you plan to change the artwork and how much clearance you have around the frame. Compare the selected variants' current prices on the product page.

Compare the complete setup

A lower price is useful only if the product supports the artwork and controls you need. An unlisted feature is something to ask about, not proof that it is absent.

For a first display, plan one frame and one compatible print. Check viewing height, outlet access, and reflections before expanding into a larger wall.
